17th Century Highland Clansmen

The dolls have porcelain limbs and head with a soft sculptured body and internal wire armature, so the doll can stand and the arm position altered.
He measures 24" (60cm) tall when clothed.
The faces are carefully hand painted and the beard & eyebrows are made from mohair.
Each doll takes over 30 hours to make.

Each doll is dressed in the traditional 17th century style. He wears a long linen shirt which ties at the neck and the sleeves have buttoned cuffs. Over this he has a short woollen jacket with buttoned front and cuffs.
The tartan plaid is fastened around the waist with a leather belt. It is also fastened onto the shoulder with a brooch. Each of the clan brooches has been designed by Mary.
He has hose covering his legs and feet and wears traditional leather shoes.
He wears a knitted bonnet made from natural coloured handspun wool.
He carries a targe, along with a basket-hilted sword and a dirk.
Around his waist he wears a leather sporran, complete with a small bag of oatmeal.

Each clansman doll comes in a handmade wooden casket, lined with velvet.
A certificate giving details of the clan and edition number is also enclosed.

You have the option of customising your clan doll by choosing the eye and hair colour of your clansman.

Each clan is strictly limited to 30 dolls worldwide.
All the clothes are made so he can be undressed.
