CheckMates are heirloom quality rag dolls. They are cute, soft, huggable and loveable.
Each one is made from quality Scottish fabrics. The tweed and the wool for the hair has been spun, dyed and woven on Lewis & Harris in the Western Isles. The tartan has been woven in a small set to suit the size of the doll. Each doll outfit has handmade wooden buttons, made from birch and oak twigs. All CheckMates have quality leather boots. The girls have a horn bead on a thong and the boys have a leather pocket & patch on their dungarees.

Every CheckMate is personalised. You can choose the tartan, eye colour and name (which will go on its own birth certificate). If there is a particular name you would like please state this on the order form and it can be translated into gaelic, where possible.
